Upcycling and sustainability are particularly close to Dany Eschenbüscher’s heart. With the book “Natural Deco. Floral DIY ideas – regional, seasonal, sustainable”, the author of “Fensterdeko” combines both topics in chapters divided by season. For each of the about 50 floral decoration inspirations, there are illustrated step-by-step instructions as well as precise material lists, with which not only experienced craftspeople but also the inexperienced can achieve beautiful results. In addition, all creations are designed without floral foam and without hot glue. Instead, the freelance floral designer has found a whole range of alternative insertion aids, fastening methods and upcycling materials with which wreaths, charming table decorations, flower-rich arrangements, atmospheric lanterns, floating objects and much more are created.
In an extensively illustrated service section, Dany Eschenbüscher also provides insights into her work processes and explains, among other things, how she dries flowers, dyes silk with the help of plants, which alternative arranging aids she uses and which materials are particularly suitable for upcycling.
